Manifest Solutions is currently seeking a zOS Infrastructure Systems Engineer for a position in Columbus, Ohio. This position is for zOS infrastructure systems engineer (not a mainframe applications programmer) and will be key in developing the long term implementation plan of the technology infrastructure roadmap for zOS platforms. Qualified candidates are required to have experience in IBM zOS mainframe hardware/software infrastructure internal set up including Sysplex and IODF or HCD experience. This position is not a mainframe systems programmer that supported applications. A high level of mainframe internal infrastructure experience is a must. The goal of this effort is to simplify our client's zOS environments by developing actionable plans to execute their go forward strategy, promote standardization and simplification.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in the internal setup, configuration and support of zOS 1.9 or later.
  • Assembler coding experience in coding applications or systems programs.
  • SMPE 1-3 years experience with IBM and 3rd party software.
  • Ability to evaluate the current environments and make recommendations to change.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
